Policies

My policies are designed to be simple and intuitive, but I do list them here just so there’s no doubt.

Shipping (US):

  • I ship within two business days after payment clears. My default service is USPS First Class, and I always include insurance within the shipping estimate for your safety and mine.
  • I can upgrade your shipment to USPS Priority or Express Mail. If you’d like to upgrade or add tracking, please request an invoice and wait to pay until I’ve sent it.
  • Similarly, I’m happy to combine shipping on your items, but you must purchase them all within a week of each other, tell me to hold off shipping until you’re done, and request an invoice once you’re done shopping.
  • USPS First Class combined shipping will be the cost of the heaviest item plus $0.50 for each additional item.

Shipping (non-US):

  • I still ship within two business days after payment clears. My default service is USPS Global Priority. I use the small flate rate envelope.
  • Insurance is not included by default, but can be requested. I will send you an invoice for the exact additional cost, so please wait to pay until I’ve sent that.
  • I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged, uninsured packages. This clause permits me to offer international shipping. Still, if something happens to your item, do let me know, and I’ll do absolutely as much as I can to make it right.
  • I can upgrade your shipment to FedEx or UPS. It will cost significantly more, but insurance and delivery confirmation options are better. If you’d like to upgrade, please request an invoice and wait to pay until I’ve sent it.
  • Combined shipping possibilities on international orders are great! I will combine up to five items in one envelope, meaning you only have to pay $5.25 shipping total as long as you order under 6 items. For larger orders, contact me. I’ll likely be able to give you a quantity discount anyway. Just like with domestic orders, you must purchase all of the items within a week of each other, tell me to hold off shipping until you’re done, and request an invoice once you’re done shopping.

Communication:

  • I am very grateful to anyone who trusts me with their time and money. I give each customer all the personalized care you would get if you were my best friend.
  • Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments. I may be busy, but will always reply ASAP.
  • With each order, I will contact you with a shipping confirmation and delivery confirmation number. You will not be left to wonder if everything is going okay.

Returns:

  • Here’s hoping that you never, ever want to give up the item I’ve sent you! But, should the desire arise, I’d like to make the return process easy for you. The following policies are designed for your and my protection.
  • Non-commissioned items: These may be returned within 15 days of original shipment if they meet one of the return criteria. This means that, within 15 days, you must have the item postmarked and in the mail, heading to me.
  • The return criteria are (1) the item arrived damaged, (2) my description and photos were incorrect or incomplete. At this time I do not refund items because of buyer’s remorse.
  • If the applicable criterion your case is (2), the item must be returned in its original condition. In any case, please take care to ensure that the item is shipped safely. I recommend re-using the original packaging.
  • Commissioned/custom items: Because every custom order is designed exactly to your specifications and confirmed at many steps along the way, and because so much labor goes into each piece, these may not be returned unless the item arrives damaged.
  • Before sending the item back, please send me an email so we can make sure these policies are in effect and so I can know to be looking out for your package.
  • Please ship all returns back to me insured at the value for which you purchased them, and please keep your postal receipt. This is for your protection, as I unfortunately cannot be responsible for returned items lost in the mail.
  • Once I receive the returned items, you will be credited via your original method of payment for the cost of your purchase including 2x the cost of the original shipping (to cover return shipping).
